The fifth annual Hamptons Paddle & Party for Pink took place on Saturday, August 6th. The two-part event raised more than $1.75 million for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

The BCRF is dedicated to ending breast cancer and is currently the largest private funder of breast cancer research in the world. This year, they have invested $54 million to support the research of 240 scientists at leading medical and academic institutions across the globe.

Chairs Maria and Larry Baum (who founded the event), Lisa Pevaroff-Cohn and Gary Cohn, Kinga and Edward Lampert, and Jackie and Bippy Siegal, hosted the East End benefits, along with Gwyneth Paltrow.

The happening began with a paddle race at Haven's Beach in Sag Harbor. Hosts Tracy Anderson, Laird Hamilton, and Gabby Reece, led the race, which had over 200 participants. For breast cancer survivor Maria Baum, it's an incredibly personal cause. "This is why we're here. To save lives," said her husband Larry Baum. After the race had ended, Laird Hamilton presented the winners with their awards.

The sunset party at Fairview on Mecox Bay in Bridgehampton brought out over 500 supporters. "My hope is that with events like this, and people making the commitment to research and the BCRF, when it comes time for our daughters to be affected, it will be no more," Host Gwyneth Paltrow told attendees. The actress also led the silent auction towards the end of the night and surprised guests with her own auction item: a pair of tickets to a private Coldplay concert in Amagansett.

Partygoers also had the opportunity to bid on custom-made paddle boards that were donated by local artists and designers including Matt Bond, Mark Boomershine, Christina Burch, Tory Burch, Eric Cahan, Michael Dweck, Natasha Law, Greg Miller, Nicole Miller, Scott O'Neil, Lisa Perry, Lisa Pevaroff-Cohn, Donald Robertson, and Serena & Lily.

Live entertainment was provided by CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers, as well as a DJ set by Brendan Fallis.

Notable guests included Tracy Anderson, Molly Sims, Rachel Zoe, Monique Lhullier, Jennifer Fischer, Nicole Miller, Katie Lee, Pat Kiernan, Brendan Fallis, David and Sybil Yurman, Meghann Gunderman and Jason Sehorn, Lauran and Charlie Walk, Christina Steinbrenner, Brian and Amy France, Alex Guarnaschelli, and many more.
